- Lineup will be announced on May 25! The Recording Conservatory of Austin’s Sixth Annual Unsigned Artist Competition offers unsigned talent an opportunity to rally their fan base and perform in front of a panel of judges consisting of music industry professionals. From hundreds of band entries, we’ve nailed down the top 30. The final four are selected through an online voting process supported by the fans. Before the showcase, a Q&A session is held with the judges who provide valuable information and insight about breaking into the music industry. Judges include: Daniel Friedman, a music attorney who represents clients on most major labels and publishing companies. Representative clients include Jeremih (Def Jam / Universal Music Publishing), Ludo (Island Def Jam Music Group), Emphatic (Atlantic), Michael Warren (Atlantic), and more. Taki Pappas, a talent buyer and former Vice President of National Touring out of the corporate office in Beverly Hills, CA. He has booked, managed and coordinated promoter-related aspects of national arena and amphitheater tours for Jay-Z, Linkin Park (Projekt Revolution), Cirque du Soleil (Delirium, Saltimbanco), John Mayer and the Zac Brown Band. Greg Federspiel, an A&R rep for Warner Bros. Records and a Manager. Clients includes DJ Tiesto, The Downtown Fiction, Jack’s Mannequin, The Ready Set, Jason Derulo, and more. He is also the former bass player for Making April.
