CELEBRATING UNITY, PEACE AND FREEDOM THROUGH MUSIC, ART, SPOKEN WORD AND DANCE!!!The 2012 Juneteenth Cultural Festival - "Juneteenth Dallas" - is the ultimate festival experience in the heart of the historic Fair Park in Dallas, Texas. This annual celebration will feature over 30 performances of musicians, dancers, poets and speakers over the course of an action packed Saturday with thousands of festival attendees.
This year's Festival, which will be held on Saturday, June 16th, will provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, shopping and children's activities. The festival celebrates diversity in music and the arts in the African American community and will feature local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from alternative, R&B, Gospel and reggae to blues, hip-hop, pop, and more. Juneteenth Dallas is a summer highlight for North Texas.
