Quite simply one of the greatest films ever made, Renoir’s anti-war masterpiece follows two French soldiers are captured and imprisoned in a German POW camp. Several escape attempts follow until they are sent to a seemingly impenetrable fortress from which escape seems impossible. Paramount Double Features: This film is part of a double feature.
