Robyn

An international pop star, Sweden's Robyn blends the gritty sound of American urban R&B with the sunny pop of her homeland. In 1994, Robyn got a record contract with Sweden's Ricochet Records, which released her debut single, You've Got That Somethin' and the hit Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect). Though she was still only 16, Robyn began recording her debut album in 1995. The results, Robyn Is Here, quickly topped the Swedish charts.

Robyn formed her own label, Konichiwa, in 2005, and her fourth, self-titled album arrived later that year and earned several Swedish Grammys, including Best Album, Best Female Pop Artist, and Best Songwriter. In 2010, she recorded Body Talk, which received acclaim from numerous music critics and was chosen as the 2nd best album released in 2010 by Popjustice and Slant Magazine, the 3rd best album released in 2010 by Entertainment Weekly,  MTV and Billboard, the 10th best album of 2010 by both The A.V. Club and Spin, and was also selected as the 14th best album of 2010, by Rolling Stone.
