The four finalists for the Express Music City Showdown haven been announced! Michelle Burnett (25, Driftwood), Emily Cousins (30, Liberty Hill), Sarah Rutherford (24, Austin) and Taylor Stearns (20, Austin) will perform one song at The Dell Diamond immediately following the Aug. 23 game between the Express and Nashville Sounds for the contest's grand prize, featuring a trip to Nashville with a scheduled live performance and the potential opportunity for a music publishing contract.They were selected from 12 semifinalists in a competition held Thursday night at The Stage on Sixth in Austin. The grand prize winner will be selected based on a cumulative vote of the judging panel and a composite vote of fans in attendance. Come out and vote for your favorite act Thursday, August 23!Immediately following the Round Rock Express vs. Nashville Sounds game, the Final 4 singer/songwriters from the Music City Showdown will compete to win the grand prize (a trip to Nashville and opportunity to perform live in a showcase at The Stage on Broadway).
