Please join the Austin Browncoats as we raise money for charity at the Alamo Lake Creek for a Weekend of Whedon. We will be screening the film Serenity as well as other works from creator Joss Whedon, including Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Firefly. This charity event raises money and awareness for Equality Now, an international women’s rights advocacy group. We are also giving support to SafePlace, which exists to end sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention and social change. We’ll have a raffle of amazing prizes from local and international vendors, as well as an auction of autographed items. Alamo Lake Creek will provide a special themed menu to enjoy during the event, which will also include a costume contest and an Evil Laugh/Death Whinny Contest. 

Special guest, James Leary, the actor who played Clem in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will be in attendance of our 10PM screening to perform a “Five Minute Improv of “Hush”.
