Hailed as Austin’s best black tie event attracting the city’s top luminaries, Fête is an elegant experience like no other. Hosted at some of the most exclusive downtown addresses,  Ballet Austin chose The Driskill Hotel this year to commemorate the milestone year for Austin’s favorite holiday tradition The Nutcracker as well as a significant milestone for The Driskill, celebrating its Victorian-era opening 125 years ago. With a limited 220 seats available for Fête 2012, guests will enjoy Nutcracker-inspired custom cocktails and a signature multi-course themed cuisine by The Driskill Hotel. At 8pm, Fête guests recieve exclusive VIP access to the Ballet Barre & lounge filled with dreamy sweets, worldly treats and glistening surprises at fête*ish. Featured entertainment this year are Grammy Award winner DJ Spinderella of the iconic rap group Salt-N-Pepa, cabaret jazz artist Mandy Lauderdale and Austin’s always entertaining and outrageous The Invincible Czars.

 

The combined gala gathers business leaders, social mavens and arts patrons of all ages to mix, mingle, dine, dance, and to raise funds for Ballet Austin’s community education programs, which serve more than 57,000 Central Texans each year.

Grammy Award winner DJ Spinderella of the iconic rap group Salt-N-Pepa headlines Ballet Austin’s notorious fête*ish, with additional performances by cabaret jazz artist Mandy Lauderdale and Austin’s always entertaining and outrageousThe Invincible Czars. Intersecting with Ballet Austin’s Fête gala dinner, Ballet Austin’s fête*ish turns up the volume and turns down the lights with exquisite morsels, libations, and photo booths celebrating the Golden Anniversary of Austin’s holiday tradition The Nutcracker. With lavishly sweet surprises around every corner, fête*ish holds its guests captivated until the clock strikes midnight.
