Curated by Claudia Zapata, member of the Puro Chingon Art Collective and cofounder of ChingoZine, a latino art zine.

This month’s screening will be Mi Vida Loca. Set in East L.A.’s Echo Park (Echo Parque), Mi Vida Loca chronicles the multifaceted lives of several Chicana characters in vignettes filled with the likes of street entrepreneurs, pompadours, lowriders, dickies, big hoops, and a no nonsense “y que?” sensibility. This film allowed a mainstream look into the titans of beauty we simply refer to as cholas, and will forever be a pivotal root movie for many Chicana queers

First 10 people in the door get a free, signed ChingoZine*

Everyone receives a Chicano vocabulary list, props, and other suprises!

Following the movie there will be trivia contest based on information from the film!

Prizes will include ChingoZine tees, buttons, stickers, and more!

CHINGOZINE will be available for purchase for all!
