The A Live One project was started in December 2010 by guitarist Josh Pearson and drummer Dan McGreevy of the original jam band Moving Matter. By 2011, they were joined with the smooth sounds of J. Wesley Haynes of the J. Wesley Haynes Trio, and the funky bass stylings of Michael Boyd, founder of Sense & Color School of Music.
