1 3 7706 "Open House" photographic works by Mary Sledd “Open House” is a photographic instillation by Mary Sledd in a property developed by Skyline City Home.  This partnership between commerce and culture features a mix of photographic works in multiple mediums selected to simulate the décor of a living space. All works in the show were created as site specific items. Consideration to layout, furnishing and use of space was paramount in deciding what to include in the show. The bouquet of work falls into two main themes, the poles of observation and construction. Works falling into the category of observation are predominately details of larger scenes – a hat, a flower, or part of a train car. Constructed works are fake advertisements and political satires. The opening of this show will be an event not to be missed. All works will have asking prices, but buyers are encouraged to make bids. Opinions from both teens and adults. • Teen Pregnancy: The ups and down, a new view of an age old taboo. 9672 e-flux feature: Mystery Picks by Graduate Students, University of Texas Arthouse at the Jones Center is pleased to present e-flux video rental (EVR), a project by artists, Anton Vidokle and Julieta Aranda. E-flux video rental is comprised of a free video rental service, a public screening room, and an art film and video archive. It is physically structured the same as any video rental store in most cities. However it does not entail any commercial transactions and its selection is comprised solely of art film and video works. The film and video works are screened continuously in the space, and are also available for home viewing. To facilitate home viewing EVR offers a membership system open to all at no charge, like a public library. Participating artists curators, and UT grad students will be invited to hold public talks and special screenings as part of our program of screenings. EVR started in a small storefront on the Lower East Side in New York in 2004.
