from Pitchfork’s album review:
about 20 hours ago.“LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy once told me he could imagine in 15 years’ time, he might be having a barbecue, and someone would dig out the Strokes’ debut from a pile of old CDs and, as the half-forgotten power-pop drifted across the summer lawns, he would realize, “You know what? That was a great little record! A perfect barbecue record!” The modest genius of Little Joy is that now he (or you) doesn’t have to wait 15 years.”

I thought I didn’t like Conor Oberst, until I saw him at ACL Fest with the Mystic Valley Band. These guys are true professionals.

about 23 hours ago.Q-Tips concert last night was superb. Q-Tip still has it going on, 10 years hasn’t changed him one bit. Lots of interaction with the crowd and his band sounded awesome too. I would defiantly catch his show again, it’s worth the work week hangover. Also, I got a chance to meet the band afterwards very cool, humble guys. I think I’m in love with Mark the drummer now. BTW, I got there late and only heard the last few of The Cool Kids, but they were great too. Overall it’s was better then Common’s show
