Unfortunately, their car breaks down outside a sinister house, and they are forced to stay the night. Inside the house Brad and Janet find a world filled with subversive sexuality. The film itself is filled with great tunes and a slightly loopy plot. So it's just like your common-or-garden musical in that way. Where the film really takes off is in its subversion of sexual mores as Brad and Janet break free from their normality. Richard O'Brien created "The Rocky Horror Show" for the London stage, and in addition to writing duties also shows up as butler Riff Raff. But the film belongs to Tim Curry as cross-dressing scientist Frank N Furter. And if you've seen it so many times that you're tired of singing along, you can gain new thrills by seeing it at the cinema and entering the world of audience participation. Dress up! Shout at the screen and enter conversations with the characters in the film! Many claim that audience participation is the essence of the Rocky Horror experience, and the film itself merely an excuse for this mayhem. Will it appeal to everyone? Certainly not. But for those willing to experiment with something a little bit different, a little bit outré, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" has a lot to offer. Prop bags will be available from the cast for $3 a bag or $5 for two. Prop bags contain: newspaper, glowstick, rubber glove, noisemakers, toilet paper, party hat, cards, and condom And just to throw in some extra spice, come out to these special themed nights for a slightly altered dose of Rocky mayhem: June 30th - Rookie Horror Beach Night - All cast members will be playing their parts for the very first time. Everyone will be in beach wear, we will decorate according to the theme AND have a costume contest for the best beach attire! July 28th - Decades Night - We will be taking a trip through time, and have all characters dressed in costumes from flappers to poodle skirts. Again, there will be decorations and a costume contest. August 25th - Naughty Fantasies - We are going to dress our cast up in some of the traditional sexy fantasy outfits, such as a nurse, cop, schoolgirl, etc. Again, there will be decorations and a costume contest. September 29th - Saturday Night Live Show - We are going to pay tribute to the great SNL characters throughout the years. You will see the Church Lady, Blues Brothers, Coneheads and more. Featuring freakish wunderkind Macaulay Culkin (HOME ALONE 2, ummm…) in the movie that catapulted him out of obscurity and into the arms of Michael Jackson. HOME ALONE stars Culkin as Kevin, an 8 year old boy whose entire family abandons him during the holidays, leaving him at home alone (the title is true!) while they fly to France and forget about him. Director Chris Columbus shows us the humorous side of child neglect as Kevin is forced to fend for himself, eking out a meager day-to-day subsistence, while two violent criminals (Daniel Stern, Joe Pesci) attempt to break into his house, take his belongings and kill him. Culkin won the Haley Joel Osment Award for preternaturally annoying precociousness by a tiny actor in this film, as well as a citation from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture for single-handedly resuscitating the popularity of Edvard Munch’s seminal expressionist painting “The Scream” with his now iconic mock-terrified hands-on-face expression on movie posters. The movie also features a small, but forgettable turn by Larry Hankin, the guy who played the actor who played Kramer in the fake sit-com “Jerry” on “Seinfeld”. Richard O'Brien 1975 100 min. Rated R for polymorphous perversity All-American couple Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and fianceé Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon) decide to visit their old professor. Unfortunately, their car breaks down outside a sinister house, and they are forced to stay the night. Inside the house Brad and Janet find a world filled with subversive sexuality. The film itself is filled with great tunes and a slightly loopy plot. So it's just like your common-or-garden musical in that way. Where the film really takes off is in its subversion of sexual mores as Brad and Janet break free from their normality. Richard O'Brien created "The Rocky Horror Show" for the London stage, and in addition to writing duties also shows up as butler Riff Raff. But the film belongs to Tim Curry as cross-dressing scientist Frank N Furter. And if you've seen it so many times that you're tired of singing along, you can gain new thrills by seeing it at the cinema and entering the world of audience participation. Dress up! Shout at the screen and enter conversations with the characters in the film! Many claim that audience participation is the essence of the Rocky Horror experience, and the film itself merely an excuse for this mayhem. Will it appeal to everyone? Certainly not. But for those willing to experiment with something a little bit different, a little bit outré, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" has a lot to offer. Prop bags will be available from the cast for $3 a bag or $5 for two.
