L.A. comedian Doug Benson passes through town often enough that you might have bumped into his act without trying, but if your only exposure to the Marijuana-Logues co-founder is Best Week Ever, let it be known that he’s a lot sharper than three-second quips about Dancing with the Stars give him the chance to be. Currently, Benson is at work on Super High Me, a take-off of Super Size Me in which Benson smokes pot every day for 30 days. Despite being one of America’s most visible stoners (he won High Times’ “stoner of the year”in 2006) Benson’s comedy is smarter than your afterage Cheech or Chong, full of ironic observations and wry, self-aware transitions.
