Rediscover Tchaikovsky’s 1891 composition “The Nutcracker” in Ballet Austin’s annual production of the wintertime classic. Based on the children’s book “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E.T.A. Hoffman, the ballet was conceived when choreographer Marius Petipa commissioned Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to compose a score around his dance adaptation of the story.read more at austin360.com
