The class's interactive exercises build listening and communication skills, heighten awareness and teach you how to be more playful, spontaneous and flexible. Play short form improv games like you see on TV's "Whose Line Is It Anyways?" in a fun and safe environment. 97787 City Theatre Acting Series: The Art of Auditioning Discussion of different auditioning techniques, including methods of preparation, monologue selection and performance, the mechanics of presentation of provided sides, and how to project your desired personal image. Activities: In addition to lectures outlining procedures and techniques for auditioning, students will present auditions at various times to the instructor individually and to the class as a whole. A variety of audition situations will be simulated realistically, including cold readings and prepared readings.
