King is still a flashy showman and prolific elder statesman who, at age 82, continues to release big studio albums (his last being 2005’s birthday-celebration duets album 80, starring everyone from Van Morrison to Gloria Estefan), not to mention tribute records, live collections, and even a 1996 autobiography.
