    <title>Retablos: Miracles on the Border</title>

Painted by Mexican immigrants, retablos are small images on metal or wood to thank God and the Saints for protecting them as they crossed the border into the United States. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;Many of the retablos featured in the exhibition are in the book &lt;em&gt;Miracles on the Border&lt;/em&gt; by Jorge Durand, one of the foremost specialists on migration.
