This figure study session featuring male and female models is open to artists at all skill levels. Please arrive before 7pm to allow for set up and preparation time. Local artist Doug Weber will act as your host and monitor, and will be there to set poses, take requests and give instruction when necessary. This class is a great opportunity to train the eye and practice mastering the processes and techniques used to sculpt the human figure. Focusing on shape and form, and paying special attention to gesture, students will create accurate representations of a live model (in the same pose each week.) Working in water-based clay without an armature, participants will develop skills necessary to model the human figure and finish a large piece (up to 20 inches) while receiving personal attention throughout each session. The price of the class includes all tools, clay and one firing.
