Places To Go Ice Skating in Austin

Here in Austin, we might not always get that snowy, wintry weather...


But that won't stop us from enjoying some of the best seasonal winter activities. Does anybody want to go ice skating in Austin this week? We sure do, so here are the spots in Austin to do so!

Ice Rink at The Long Center

A classic holiday tradition for all Austinites, come skate against a backdrop of twinkling city lights at the Long Center! Nothing like being able to skate with views of the skyline — and of course, cozying up with a cup of cocoa or Hot Toddy and fresh popcorn and Christmas cookies.

Chaparral Ice Center – Northcross Austin

This indoor rink is open year-round for public skating. They even offer adults-only nights! Admission is $12 and skate rental is $6 for children and adults. Also check out the LTS (Learn To Skate) classes

Containing two full-sized ice rinks and multiple wellness centers, Ice & Field at the Crossover provides a chance to get on the ice year-round in Cedar Park. Check out their website here.

Winter Ice Skating Rink in Marble Falls

Take a little trip to Lakeside Park in Marble Falls for a festive and fun ice skating season! Visitors can enjoy an outdoor ice skating experience. We recommend pre-booking your tickets ahead of time here

Eisbahn in Fredericksburg

126 W. Main St. at The Kinderhalle Pavilion

November 22 – January 2026


Eisbahn (“ice rink” in German) is returning to Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg this year. It’s an annual seasonal ice skating in the Texas Hill Country that raises funds for the Heritage School and local charities. All day pass includes skate rental. Click here for more info.

While this is not a destination to drop in for a casual skate, the Pond Hockey Club is a great place for the kids to get involved in ice hockey or figure skating (or also if you want to play, yourself).
