Emo’s has and always will be a little rough around the edges. Originating in the punk rock trenches of the Red River Music District in the early 90’s, the initial venue brought an authentic personality that helped shape Austin’s thriving live music scene.  The new venue, formally the influential Back Room, now boasts a state-of-the-art sound system, complete with quality lighting and staging capabilities. With the history of two legendary Austin venues in its blood, the rock ‘n’ roll spirit lives on at 2015 East Riverside Drive.

      Emo's consistently brings the indie darlings of the moment to Austin. The best part being that if you buy a ticket for one show, you generally get access to the other, allowing you to pack in multiple genres (punk, metal, hip hops shows are booked just as often) in one night. more at CultureMap Austin
