What an awful place. I have been there two times and will never go back. The first time I had horrible service at the bar and almost got caught in the middle of a bar fight at the top of the stairs. Real classy.

The second time my friends and I stopped in for a drink for a birthday party. We had taken our camera since it was a B-day party and I took a photo of the birthday boy. The next thing I know there are bouncers surrouding us telling us to delete the photo and to hand over the camera. The bouncer insisted we were taking a photo of the dancer when we really weren’t! They then changed their story from no photos of dancers to no photography inside their bar. In my last 10 years of going to bars and clubs I have never been told we could not take a picture with our friends!! There are no signs posted in this club that tell you no photography allowed. Things then got out of hand and the bouncers from that point on would not even let us leave the bar without handing over the camera. Needless to say the cops ended up getting invoved after we called them and we were then all allowed to leave. My friends and I will NEVER return to Pangaea after being treated like that by the bouncers and the bar manager.

I had a $140.00 tab and two drinks spilled on me without the management seeming to care. If you want to have a great time in Austin, this is NOT the place to do so. I have been to Pangaea numerous times with at least a $100+ tab yet the management seems to only be willing to care if you are an owner/investor. Never and I repeat never, choose to give this club your business. Randomly pick any place in Austin and it will treat you better.

What makes a town great is it’s people. The new condos and skyscrapers don’t bother me cause buildings aren’t what makes a town. It’s the people that make a town. And Pangaea brings out the worst people with the worst qualities – shallow, materialistic, judgemental, classist, arrogant, rude, selfish, me me me attitude people. Just look at the comments from the employees below, this is the type of person that likes Pangaea. There comments prove the point.

I don’t work at Pangaea. They couldn’t afford me. However, it is a great party.

I agree. Pangaea is totally the hottest, most coolest thing to ever hit Austin. Cooler even than Foundation used to be… you know before it went out of business.
I really hope all the tons of celebrities and girls and best DJ’s in town never stop going there. Just last week I was sharing a bottle with O.J.Simpson, Lance Armstrong, Nigel Tufnel and David St. Hubbins from Spinal Tap and tons of hot, hot ladies also. I couldn’t even believe how cool I was. I hope Pangaea never closes down so I can be this cool well into my 60’s.

I agree. It’s the best party in town. For the people who don’t get it, or can’t afford it, don’t go. That’s the beauty of options.

Never been, but judging from the pics. It screams “I’m an old fat Douche Bag with a botoxed up fake tittied girl with bad highlights” I think I’ll park my leased Astin Martin somewhere else! Beauty Bar anyone? Oh, and for the person that wrote “club life” mwhahahahahahahahah. Idiot.

It’s funny cause Pangaea is so insecure. Pangaea needs everyone to call it the best thing ever and freak out when people don’t like it.

Best DJ’s? Like replaying other people’s recorded music is a real talent.

First True club in Austin? It’s funny because no true Austinite goes here. I guess it’s good for out of town yankees to part with their money here. Even if some of the money goes to the dumb hobags that work there.
