Apparently a squad car came by and claimed the gathering was getting “too big”. They ordered us to go home.
I laughed at first, but then was astonished to see everyone pack up and leave! Some patriot shouted “LET THEM ARREST US ALL!”, and by god, they’re right! Next time the police pull that stunt, play your drums LOUDER until they slap the cuffs around your wrists! Everyone stand UNITED! The Chronicle will pick up the story, and a shitstorm will rain down on the Austin Police Department for arresting peaceful musicians who are bothering NOBODY. That’s the great thing about Austinites – we have each others back.
Who else will stand against the police state?!
Great live music venue and great coffee!
