Sounds Like Fun! Austin's Debut Charade Tournament

Wha? : Teams of 4 players will act out clues submitted by audience members on the day of the Tournie and advance in a bracket to become Austin’s First (known) Austin Charade Champions. Team registrations $20; tickets $5.

Who: You*! And, three friends, family members, band mates, children, adults, co-workers, etc. You are encouraged to come as you are, as a “theme team”, as characters, or whatever else your kooky team cooks up. Team practices and fan clubs are encouraged. *Participants can also register solo . Single players will be placed on a “pick-up” team (aka “once-strangers-now-bestie’s” team) the day of the Tournie. Or, for those who just want to come, watch and support your favorite team, you can buy your ticket to the show-down today!

Why: Because it’s fun and you should do it! Plus, you and your teammates may win fabulous prizes and the title of . . . the Next (and first as we know it) Austin Charade Champions!

Paintings of people doing play stuff, at a place where people do plays and play stuff. Done from photos taken by a musician who is already down with the thesbians, interpreted by a painter who has been inexplicably sucked into the theatrical swirling vortex but is pretty cool with it. Art opening is from 6-8pm. Show will stay up for more than one night, for realz. Ellen Bartel's Box Spring Hawgs will play as it is Tom Waits birthday that day.
