As a groundbreaking and adventurous contemporary art gallery, Volitant Gallery opened its doors in Austin on April 15th, 2006 at 320 Congress Avenue (southwest corner of 4th & Congress). Housed in the historic 5,000 square-foot space of the Koppel Building, its ambitious mission to share both regional and international contemporary art with Austin continues with each exhibit. In addition to the gallery's work with internationally-known artists, such as Marcos Lopez, Nicola Costantino and Stanikas, Volitant seeks to nurture and celebrate Austin's local art scene, helping regional artists expand their recognition and contributing to the richness of the vital national art scene. Volitant Gallery is now available for rental. Michael Hsu Design has created a beautiful, open space with marble floors, moveable display walls, a print viewing room and a video art lounge. The upscale contemporary atmosphere of our Gallery compliments any special event or corporate gathering. HOURS: Tuesday–Saturday 11–9 p.m., Sunday and Monday 12–6 p.m.
