The Guide to Mother's Day in Austin

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11.

We should all be celebrating our awesome mother figures year-round, but Mother's Day weekend is the time to let the mom in your life know how much she means to you. It's also the best excuse ever to go all-out on a really great day. She deserves it. To make mom's big day an easy success, we rounded up some of the best brunch spots, markets, florists, gifts, and things to do in town.

Make some reservations, order a bouquet, and ensure you and your mom both have a flawless day. For even more Mother's Day goings-on, see our full list.

WHERE TO GET HER FLOWERS:

Austin has no shortage of great florists – there are over 40 within the city limits alone – so we’ve just included a few of our favorites here. The businesses below include a wide range of styles and prices so you can find the perfect fit for your mama.

King Florist of Austin

1806 W. Koenig Lane

A powerhouse on Austin’s flower scene since their inception in 1927, King Florist is a solid bet for bloom buying in Austin. They offer stunning bouquets in contemporary containers, eliminating the need for the recipient to scramble for a spare vase to display their botanic gift. While their pricing is on the higher side, we think the attention to detail is worth it.
