Right above West Campus is a house bar that's a grade above the others you'll find off the drag. Once past the welcoming front porch, you'll find yourself inside a 1920's fever dream. Break that fever by finding a spot under one of the several chandeliers and sip from one of the several bourbons on the menu.

Like the aroma of an old book, the vibe inside Dumont's evokes that sense of breathing in time itself. Take that sophisticated feeling of consuming history by sampling one of the several bourbons stocked in this warehouse district hideout.

Smack dab in the middle of the East Austin's booze-zone, Whisler's is an eclectic bar that offers an expansive selection of cocktails, craft beer, and of course, whiskey. Decorated with a rustic New Orleans flourish, Whisler's is a perfect spot to brood at the bar over a tall glass of bourbon. Seriously though, walking into this bar is like walking into an unnamed dive in the French Quarter. Go hit the hard stuff over at Whisler's—it'll put some hair on your chest.

Like its name suggests, this friendly-neighborhood bar specializes in good ol' moonshine and other spirits, including a damn impressive selection of bourbon. Comfortable and relaxed, but also sprinkled with a dash of swank, Moonshine is something of an ideal watering hole. Head into Moonshine Patio Bar & Grill for their delicious brunch and one of their delicious bourbon drinks.

Chances are, you've heard about the not-so-secret locale of Garage cocktail bar. But, even if you know the address, it might still take a minute to find your way to its entrance. Located inside of an actual parking garage on Colorado St., the only outward-facing sign you'll see is the word "COCKTAILS" painted atop the garage entrance. Once inside, you'll find one very chill, yet very upscale bar.
