Best Espresso Martinis In Austin

Whoever thought of combining coffee and booze deserves an award.

Specifically, we're talking about the ever-trendy espresso martini, a perfect combo of vodka, coffee liqueur, and espresso. Austin has no shortage of options when it comes to this popular cocktail, and if you're like us, you wanna try them all. This list certainly isn't comprehensive, but man, it is tasty. Start at these spots for a little something extra with your caffeine fix.

Codependent

301 West Avs, Suite 110

You better believe that Austin coffee shops are some prime spots for great espresso martinis, and that includes the one at Codependent, made with Dripping Springs Vodka. And here's a fun fact: if you come on Mondays during Happy Hour, one of these will only set you back $10!

Cosmic Coffee

Various Locations

Another great Austin coffee staple, Cosmic has made a name for itself on Pickle Road, and at their charming east side Saltillo spot! If you're looking for a nice pick-me-up with a kick, you can't go wrong with their Nitro espresso martini, featuring Deep Eddy Vodka and their signature Cosmic Cold Brew.

Dainty Dillo

3201 East Cesar Chavez

Everyone's favorite patio on the east side, Dainty Dillo is the sister spot to the famed Armadillo Den, and they're shaking things up with their take on the espresso martini. Instead of the typical vodka and coffee liqueur, Dainty's creation utilizes tequila and Nitro cold brew.

Prelude

707 West 10th St

If you manage to get a reservation at the incredibly popular Prelude, you won't be disappointed. The new cocktail and canapé lounge just west of downtown does things their way, with signature sips and an elevated approach to the classics. And that, of course, includes the espresso martini. If you're tired of the same old thing, we recommend spending an evening here.

Seven Spirits

1411 East 7th St

The last time we asked our audience about the best espresso martinis in town, they let us know: our list was missing Seven Spirits! And if you're east on Wednesdays after 7pm, they'll only set you back $7, for a little thing they're calling Wake Up Wednesdays. That makes them extra sweet, if you ask us!

The coffee, food and all-around good vibes at Halcyon have made such an impression they've expanded to locations in San Antonio and Dallas. Here in the ATX, you can't go wrong with their downtown spot for remote work or a solid happy hour. And as with most things on the menu, their espresso martini is a must-try!

Roosevelt Room

307 W 5th St

If you know about cocktail bars in Austin, we don't have to tell you about the award-winning Roosevelt Room. Their menu is expansive, and yet everything is perfection. And the mixologists here know their stuff. If you want a prime example, look no further than their version of an espresso martini (featured on their happy hour menu), containing Grey Goose Vodka, Borghetti Espresso liqueur, J. Rieger Caffè Amaro, Tempus Fugit Crème de Cacao, Macadamia liqueur, cream, and freshly ground coffee beans.

Casa Bianca

1510 E Cesar Chavez St

This new spot on the east side is already making a name for itself for a dynamite happy hour, their weirdo-Italian fare, a great selection of wine, and, yes, their craft cocktails, including their espresso martini. Available from 4-10pm Tuesday-Sunday, this tasty creation is made fresh - they pull the espresso right before they serve it to you!

The Lucky Duck

1300 E 6th St

2105 Lynnbrook Dr

Another "Duck" spot on our list, but this one's a little less Classy Date and more Great Hang With Friends. The Lucky Duck is one of the more popular new spots on East 6th, with a huge back patio and a killer bar food menu. If anyone in your bar-hopping crew is an espresso martini fan, make sure you take them here; their version might be the best one on the whole street!
