What kind of liquor do ghosts drink?
Spirits.
Candy isn't the only treat you can partake in during Halloween. Every year our bars go all out for spooky season with creepy cocktails and full-on costuming their bars. While we love a classic cobweb and spider bit inside a bar, these watering holes completely transform for the month. Austin takes spook very seriously and serves up unique drinks while masquerading as fictional bars.

77 Rainey St.
Step out of Austin and into Hawkins when you make your way past the Mind Flayer guarding the entrance to this Rainey Street bar. Once inside, you can visit a Russian Jail as you drink down a Demogorgon or an Eleven cocktail from their Stranger Things themed menu.

Nickel City doesn't just throw up some decor and call itself Moe's, no, they fully take the bar into the two-dimensional world of Springfield complete with a totally different menu. From the signature drink that brought a brief 30 minutes ( with commercials) of fame to the ole dive bar, to a full-on franchise of Springfields' patty pride, Krusty Burger. All that's missing is a bald dad who'd rather get a drink than be with his family.

1109 South Lamar Blvd
Like a twisted nightmare, the entrance to the Gibson Bar transforms into a ferocious skull, jaw dropped to swallow in patrons foolish enough to grab a drink in this boo-zy bar. Once inside, delight in the dreadful decor as you peruse their petrifying menu of creepy cocktails. Grab an Eye of Newt, or lose focus as you sip a Hocus Pocus, either way, you can't resist stepping through the skull off South Lamar.

214 West 4th St.
Dumont's own it's own is creepy enough. Being a basement in a historic building with whispers of ghosts haunting the bar, but that's not enough for Dumont's. With skeletons hanging from the rafters to two terrifying twins looming at the end of the hallway, resident ghost Blanche has competition if she wishes to scare you while you sip from their spooky cocktail menu.
