East Side Show Room is Closing

Bad news for fans of the East Austin bar scene. Reports are indicating that East Side Show Room, a staple of the East Sixth nightlife for seven years, will be closing on Sunday, July 24. No reason has been announced thus far, but the cozy restaurant-cocktail bar has announced they will be throwing a party on their last day. 


If you've been a fan of their hand-made cocktails and Creole-inspired cuisine over the years, stop by and enjoy one last round at the Show Room before they close their doors on Sunday, July 24.

If this is your first/last visit, try their gin-based drink "the Desert Healer" with some mussels or Creole BBQ Shrimp & Grits. Guess we'll have to go ahead and update our guide for where to eat & drink on East 6th.
