Local Queer is a social organization for the queer community in Austin, providing activities, resources and more. Currently, they are offering peer support for name and gender marker changes. During this process, they'll connect you with someone who can guide you through all the paperwork, booking fingerprint appointments, and whatever else support you may need! "Out Youth serves the Central Texas LGBTQ+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop in to happy, healthy, successful adults. Founded in 1990, Out Youth has grown and changed over the years, but we’ve always retained our most important facet - providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth to come together, receive support, and make friends who understand who they are. Central Texas Transgender Health Coalition is a program of Out Youth that has events around Austin. 'We envision a world where all transgender and non-binary persons are treated with dignity and respect, and receive quality and well-informed healthcare. We believe that the transgender and gender non-binary community should feel comfortable speaking to their healthcare providers. In turn, healthcare providers need training to serve these patients with compassion, understanding, and clinical expertise."

AGMC is a community chorus for people of all genders and sexualities who sing in the tenor-bass range. Their mission: Raising voices in song to change minds, transform lives, and build community. Audiences know them for their choral excellence, inclusive messages, and campy showmanship. And for the singers in the chorus, it's not just a performance group. It's a family. Auditions in August and January, or join as a volunteer anytime.
