Bringing to the table great style and a sustainable approach, Austin's own Miranda Bennett Studio provides an ethical take to designer fashion. Bennet uses plant-based dyes to color her dresses and tops, keeping the design and production process as green as possible. Adding to her ethics-focused business approach, she works exclusively with Open Arms, an Austin-based business who produces sustainable apparel and aims to empower refugees through fair-wage employment.

You can choose between virtual and in-person shopping with Ephrance Vintage, where their Depop shop has just as many unique finds as their one-of-a-kind offerings at their storefront, Revival Vintage. If seeing things in the flesh is more your style, check out their sidewalk sales (keep up with those on their Instagram) - otherwise, get scrolling, y'all.

Virtual Marketplace
A local favorite marketplace has gone virtual. Once a month, Frida Friday hosts their community-based market online with vendors ranging from clothing designers to jewelry makers and more. Once the marketplace goes live for that month, you can spend the weekend scrolling through pages of vendor shops looking for the perfect little funky earrings.

Pavement is the new kid on the block (the S. Lamar block, to be specific). They're a resell shop focusing on modern and vintage recycled fashion and they're already giving Plato's a run for their money. If you drove down Lamar anytime in the past year, you likely saw the evolution of their rainbow storefront and wondered what it was. Now, it's time to find out.

Another newcomer to the Austin clothing scene, Flamingos is Austin's first pay-by-the-pound vintage store and a perfect counterpart to the experience of Goodwill Blue Hanger. We all love a good deal, and finding a cute pair of jeans or a jacket at this spot and having it cost less than $20 is a feeling we all need right now.

You didn't think we'd forget shoes, did you? What if we told you there's a store in Austin where you can not only get shoes but...ethically-sourced, handmade shoes from shoeworkers in Peru that get health care, paid maternity leave and social security? Let us introduce you to Fortress of Inca, which checks all those boxes and has a super cute selection, if we do say so ourselves.
