Wanna help save local music venues?
Yeah, us too. #SaveOurStages is a movement started by the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) to push Congress to act and keep our independent music venues from closing permanently. We've already lost many beloved spots in Austin, and we really don't want there to be any more. To do this, we need the #SaveOurStagesAct and the #RestartAct to pass. Here's how you can help.
Keep up with what the City of Austin is doing for our music venues here.
And while you're at it, check out the Amplified Sound Coalition, a new organization in Austin aimed at addressing the financial sustainability, mental and physical well-being, and housing/cost of living needs for struggling event and music workers due to the COVID-19 crisis.
