Where to Rent Kayaks, Canoes, and Stand Up Paddleboards

Spend the day on Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin with a rental from Live Love Paddle. They offer kayak, paddle board, or canoe rentals, as well as different tours like their Urban Kayak Tour or Bat Watching Tour. Rentals are available on a first come first serve basis, but you can purchase tickets for their tours ahead of time here.

If Lady Bird Lake is a little too crowded for your taste or you've been there a million times (like us), head over to Lake Travis where you'll find Austin Paddleboard & Kayak. Located in an offshoot of Lake Travis is a quiet body of water where you can paddle around on their kayaks, paddleboards, or pedal kayaks (kayak meets bike).

Texas Rowing Center is located on the Hike and Bike Trail on Lady Bird Lake. They’re open every day from 6 am until dusk. They teach sculling and sweep rowing and also offer youth classes and camps.
