No seriously, you can find apples in Texas.
We wouldn't clickbait y'all. While we may not have wood-covered bridges along winding country roads draped in gold and rose-colored leaves, we do have dedicated farms pushing out apples for Texans to enjoy each fall. Apples may not want to grow in Texas, but is there anything more Texan than deciding they will anyways?

Proudly home to one of the best apple pies in the state of Texas,
Love Creek Orchard and their Apple Store are an autumnal must-do. Inside their cafe, you're washed in the sweet smell of roasted apple and cinnamon baking into pies, cider, cakes, cookies, syrups, breads, and even ice cream. Since fall in Texas is really just Summer lite, apple cinnamon ice cream in a charming small town really hits the spot as we get to enjoy the cooler weather of below 100-degree days.
Tours of the groundbreaking orchard that kicked off apple growing in Texas are available April through October

A roadside stand, unlike any other, Efurd Orchards, is a country destination to get your rural fix. Grab apples and other seasonal fruits by the basket and a hand full of canned goods as you let your dessert stomach win out by grabbing a pint of their famous farm-made ice cream. Walk it off in the corn maze as you breath in the crisp country air.

Is this a bit of a drive out west? Yes. Is it worth it for the autumnal experience? Also yes! Right outside Lubbock
you can pick apples from Idalou Harvest Company, enjoy their Apple Butter Festival ( sadly not this year but keep an eye out for next!), and even fruit wines! Idalou has a whole host of apple products, decedent ciders, farm-fresh fruits, baked goods, and simply country fall vibes to soak up far out in West Texas. Just look for the big red A-frame, not an orange n white A-frame y'all.
