Bar 508 Mezcalerita

508 E 8th St

Right next door to Pelon’s Tex-Mex is one of the most vibrant buildings in the Cultural District. They offer a variety of signature cocktails made from mezcal - ranging from spicy to sweet. If you love spicy margaritas, opt for the La Casa Marg. If you're more on the sweet tooth side, we recommend the El Diablo - Mezcal, Blackberry, Cassis, Lime, & Ginger Beer.

Midnight Cowboy

313 E 6th St

Among the best Austin bars offering mezcal and mezcal cocktails is Midnight Cowboy, a speakeasy with some of the best drinks in town. Although reservations are highly recommended, there are a few times when walk-ins are accepted. When the red light is on outside the bar, you can ring the buzzer marked “Harry Craddock” for entry. Be sure to read the house rules on the Midnight Cowboy’s website before going - this bar does not condone large groups, phone usage, or excessive rowdiness. Try The Old Gardener, with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Amaro Montenegro, Dry Vermouth, Raspberry, and Rhubarb.
