January 14th was National Dress Up Your Pet Day.
Pet owners finally have an excuse (not to mention a specifically designated day of the year) to adorn their fair-haired beast in the most comical of clothing. Make them look studious with some scholarly spectacles. Or, unlock their inner sports fan by putting them in a jersey for a team they are unaware of for a sport they will never understand exists. Make no mistake about it - This is why cavemen domesticated wolves.
Anyway, in honor of National Dress Up Your Pet Day, we asked y'all to submit your favorite pictures of your dogs, cats, and in one case a very sporty goat, dressed up in whatever fashion you so happened to choose. We want to give a big thank you to everyone who spent time putting their dog, cat, or other animals in funny clothes and then taking a photo of it for the world to see. Check out the contest results below.
