Julie's Noodle House

8557 Research Blvd #110

Oodles of handmade noodles and fresh ingredients - that’s what makes Julie’s shine. Located in a strip mall off Research (that strip mall with Ramen Tatsu-ya and Coco’s), this central location is worth the trek from North or South Austin. We recommend the Beef Stewed Noodle Soup. With its rich flavor and tender noodles, you’re sure to leave content and fulfilled. The Soup Dumplings are also a fan favorite and must-try.

Asia Cafe

Asia Cafe is an Austin classic of the tasty destination persuasion. Order at the counter, grab a table with a lazy susan (for your many family-style dishes) and wait for them to call your number. Asia Cafe offers American Chinese classics like General Tso’s chicken, always crispy, and some more authentic flavors like Mapo Tofu. With something on the menu for everyone, this establishment consistently serves up food that hits the spot.

Fat Dragon is already making big waves. Located next to Asia Cafe, this Asian fusion bistro offers a casual dining experience while doing its best to step up Austin’s Xiaolongbao(soup dumpling) game. The hard work is paying off -  Fat Dragon is quickly becoming a sought-after eating experience.

Lin Asian Bar + Dim Sum

1203 W 6th St

Styled as Austin’s “first Asian Bar Restaurant’, this charming blue house turned restaurant is run by Chef Ling Qi Wu. Lin Asian Bar is a solo venture from Wu Chow’s Dim Sum chef dedicated to serving health-conscious, locally-sourced food. Chef Ling’s cuisine has been called magical and we’re inclined to agree. You would be missing out if you didn’t try her take on Dim Sum and soup dumplings.
